Brief:
The client in this instance was a self-builder. The brief was to create a large detached family house maximising sea view to the front of the site and the southern aspect and solar gains to the rear.
Budget:
The budget was generous with an initial design budget of €500,000 for this new build house.
Results:
The floor plan design is open plan throughout and takes in the sea views to the north while opening onto the deck/garden/southern aspect to the rear. This house although large at over 3500 sq.ft. in size appears as a modest traditional house, due to the design choice of form and materiality.
