Hedgestown

The clients are a young couple wanting to create a new four bedroom family home. The brief was clear and simple in that it was to be open plan, highly energy efficient and to include a mezzanine space.

The budget was modest which led to us being innovative with our material choices in order to bring the design forward and in on budget without losing its contemporary feel.

Due to the sensitive rural location of the site, it was important that we designed a house that was in keeping with its context while still achieving a contemporary atmosphere.

The materials were inspired by the beautiful context of the site. This, combined with meticulous detailing throughout gives the home a refined, contemporary feel.
